2005 Nx 898 And An Ultrexx Trooling Motor

I just put a new Ultrexx on my boat and the foot pedal is too big for the recessed area provided for it. Anyone else run into this problem? Is there a fix or work around? Advice would be appreciated.

Back then Nitro used mostly all Motor Guide trolling motors. The only fix is to replace the recess with a after market recess which is deeper and bigger. There is plenty room on the deck for this. Just be carefull with the carpet as you can reuse it for the sides to reglue.
