2005 Nitro Planning Issues

Alright, I have a 2005 Nitro 898 with a 225 opti. Boat runs great until.... I fill livewells and have over a half tank of gas. Then it plows water no holeshot. Have a 10" jackplate and a 25 tempest and 25 fury. Fury is not as good on holeshot. When water gets warmer it's impossible to get up without weaving... alot. Boat runs 67 at 5750 rpms and prop shaft is about 3.5 below pad.... need help!!!! Bought transom wedges but hoping to fix without having to install them.

Sounds similar to my boat. I have a 2011 Z8 with 225 Pro XS Currently sitting at 3.5 below pad. Runs about 67 @ 5600 RPm with just me, no live wells. Add live wells and another angler, hole shot is rough, top speed 57

008 z9 250sx took 8+ sec to get on plane with tournament load and two people 250+ each 70mp at 6000rpm 4in below pad 26
tempest 3 blade. Add water would go to 12+ sec s. Added a whale tale cut it tp 3.5 with tournament load and 6 sec woth livewells full 40 gallon

I too have a 2006 NX 898 with a 1997 200 EFI Mariner on it. I have three props for ir 25 tempest 3 blade, 24 Tempest 3 blade and 23 four blade renegade. It is a dog with all three props and full wells and tournament load. With the 24 it runs out at 53 mph @ 5300 rpm. Full wells and my partner has to sit on the front deck to get it to break over. Engine tests out great. 3.5 inches below below pad.

my nx898 has a horrible holeshot and porpoises in rough water i upgraded to a 225 but still wont get up ,I think it has way too much step in the hull , I am thinking about trying to rig somekind of trim tabs on the transom any suggestions?
