Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a gap between the splash well and transom on the 882NX? I removed the plastic splash cover and noticed about 1/4 inch separation between the two, it looks like it was cut that way? Any feedback or information is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Chobeemauga, thanks for replying. I have included a few photos (not the best lighting). There are no other cracks or signs of stress anywhere on the transom and water is only in that area while idling. When I pulled off the splash guard cover there was a lot of silicone all around this area.

That looks like where the top hull is married to bottom hull. They put that metal cap on to hide that. Totally normal. Re-seal it. Good. Replace the cap. It looks good to me. If it were mine I would do what I said above and send it.
