1996 nitro 170dc 1989 115hp prop question?

Looking to find the right prop for this setup?

My marina believes its a lazerll 26p from what i have

Read that may be to much prop. Wondering if any of you may have this or similiar setup? Ty joe

When I had the same boat only with a 90hp it had a 19 pitch stainless. I'd guess a 21 with a 115hp

Joseph - I had a '99 700lx with same motor, Now I had a jack plate, but ran a 25p Turbo prop, I would suggest starting with a 22 or 23 if you can find a place to let you 'try' before you buy.

Have the same boat 1996 170DC and a 120hp Force (Merc bought them that year). Have been running the original prop it came with with good performance and rpms. 12.5" dia with 23 pitch aluminum 3 blade RH rotation.

I had a '95 170DC with a 115 Merc that turned a 24 Trophy (large hub) up to the peak RPM's and ran great. We rigged many of these hulls similarly without complaint, only praise. It provides a fast hole shot, top end in the low 50's and very nice low speed handling. Good luck!
