1994 Mercury Tracker Oil Tanks Leaks

Hey Everyone
I am new to the site and would like some help with my sons 1994 Nitro with 75 Mercury Tracker. He has been fight a oil leak since he purchased this boat. Its his first boat and has had some small issues with that so far we have able to address. But the oil tank leak is one we are having trouble with. No parts available when you call anyone. He was told that the newer tanks would fit and fix this problem. The tank only leaks when he has the engine trimmed up. Any help would be great.

sounds like the o ring is bad at the fill cap #25-26318 or the vent cap with the small valve is missing # 19299a1 and 21-64871 on top of the tank.

It’s a common problem with those mercury motors. Father in law had a 90hp and it did it from day 1.
