Got the Motor started after 3 years. New batteries. Carpet is off. I did a little experiment on the rear deck with Eva Faux deck foam. Going to have Seadek redo it once I get it back from local shop. Getting tune up water pump and winterized. Will send pics when done

I remember installing new carpet on my 1994 Nitro. Was a chore, but very satisfying when done. Hope this project goes well for you.

hi Rsims;
Bringing back memories of our first Nitro. It was a 1994 2000DC with a 175 Merc.
Had my dealer change-out the exhaust-tuner and upped it to 200HP. Regarding seat colors, the colors used to be silver(grey) with white seats and the stripe on the seats were the same color as the long Nitro Logo on the boat sides. Your boat had either lite blue or a teal color?
Attached two photos show our colors, original (red) and new seats. (More if you wish) Had an awful Pink carpet from the factory. Never got over that one.
Really interested in your project progress. All the best.

HI
NICE,
I had the Teal and other colors, Changing to Gray Seadek, and Gray /white seats.
I'm waiting for the shop to finish some things, then March Seadek will redo the deck with their Faux teak decking. Having a few Designs etched in ..

Ill post when I start getting it together for the season

Rob

Do you care to elaborate on the EVA Faux deck foam experiment? Or does the fact that you're going to Seadek say it all?

I had a local licensed person quote a relatively simple application and the cost was very high. Part of the process required digitizing the boat. Makes sense so machine cut pieces can be made but it would be nice if they already had this info in their database.

Cost estimate for a 17' aluminum bass boat was between $3,500 to $4,500 depending on complexity of design carved into the material. This was with a prepped surface ready to accept the EVA

Thanks for sharing your restoration effort.

It’s Going to be $1800. They came and laser measured. And it will be made with a Ruler on the center deck and I picked out another design to have etched in. March is the target date because of weather.

Wow, that's significant difference in price and at that price point would have commissioned their service. They were going to come out 3x. 1) Laser measure 2) verify fit with cut templates 3) final install. 2 layers with ruler and perhaps the topo lines similar to what Xpress offers on their boats.

Hope you share photos after the install.

Yes. I’ll post some Pics. They’re also measuring my Chris Craft commander. It’s 50 ft.Motor Yacht Looking for the Decks done also.
