Yes, It's true! I did a double take and sure enough $1.38 for 87 octane at the 66. I think I'm gonna drive an extra 100 miles today just for the fun of it!

Gary,...as long as you're just driving around,...can you come and pick up my 901 and go fill it up for me??...I have a tournament sunday,...You could be back by then couldn't you? LOL.....we're still 30-40cents per gallon more here!!
Gettin' gouged!!
Mac

Mac - I'll pick it up, fill it up AND use every drop if you let me. I think I can make it from Atlanta to your way in a day's drive that would give me all day Saturday to run and gun!!!

We're running about the same Gary - around 1.39 - 1.40/gallon.

$2.11 A GALLON. For Regular 87 oct at Chevron and Union 76.

And they say it might go up another 30 to 50 cents before the summer is over.

Got to love California

John

Ah the peoples republic of Kalifornia, the socialist state. How's old Gray out Davis? Nothing like all those additives and extra taxes to bump the fuel costs.

I filled up yesterday (boat) mid grade at 1.62 p/gal. Regular was $1.53 on average in my area here in South Florida.

It's $1.63 here in Illinois. The reason it is soo high in California is because they can't increase the price of electric as fast as they can gasoline!

Here in Central Florida it has been slowly going down. Yesterday $1.45 for reg.

Russ

Still paying $1.77 for regular here in Connecticut. Good news is it's come down a few pennies in the last couple of weeks. Still beats CA though.

Guys, You won't beleive a $1.23 a gallon for gas in my part of the woods.

Better yet Doug, If gas gets to a $1.00 a gallon in Springfield, MO. (home of the best built boats), we should all meet and go BOATING naked on Table Rock. Wouldn't that be a HOOT! We could call ourselves the Nitro/Tracker Streakers Club! There might also be Tournament possibilities in there somewhere, even sponsorships.

LOL!

Mike: Does UPS ship flammable materials (ie: gas)?

Gary: That sounds like a plan to me...I've got a pontoon boat docked on Table Rock and I'll even supply the food for us all! It'll be the 1st Annual Nitro/Tracker Streakers Club Tournament & Cookout!

$1.239 here this morning on the way to work. 30 miles west of Cleveland.

Doug...The 1st annual Nitro/Tracker Streakers Club Tournament and Cookout. That has a nice ring to it! We had better let Rich Stern know about it. He'll probably have to get a bigger server to accomodate all the new members this tournament will undoubtedly attract. This is going to be BIG, REAL BIG! Now I know how the inventor of the PET ROCK must of felt!

Gary
P.S. I'll furnish the sunblock

And while we are streaking around the lake, instead of skiers, we can all pull a banner that advertises this site.

If we can get enough female entries, we will make it a partner draw tournament. (one man/one woman per boat). Just sitting here in the office I already have 3 females interested!

What do you think Gary?

I don't know Gary...the Pet Rock is looking awfully small in comparison to this tournament.

Doug...Do you have a trailer for your pontoon? I got to thinking, we could take the top place finishers and tour! Kinda like the FLW Tour with the exception of the money part of course.

LOL! - Gary

Yes I do have a trailer. That sounds like a GREAT idea Gary. Just like the FLW Tour with the exception of the money part and the clothes...of course. This will save our sponsors money because they won't have to buy us clothes to wear.

Okay Doug...I'm afraid to ask but I have to. What are we going to use to measure the banner?

Gary
PS - I CAN'T STOP LUAGHING!

It depends on how many and who shows up.
Should we have a trophy for the biggest and the smallest "fish"?

I have my whole office laughing out loud...

If we get enough female entries,...I vote to scratch (it's NOT what you're thinking) the rule about the lifevests having to be on and fastened while the big motor's running!!!,.......Oh and one more thing,....pray for rough water,...bouncing is cooool!!!!"..LOL ;o)
Mac
No Scott,.....Penny WON'T be there!!!!

Very good idea Mac...if they had lifejackets on then they wouldn't be naked now would they? Thats it...(you taking notes Gary?)..no life jackets on the women! We'll see what we can come up with for the rough water.

Talking about lifejackets made me think about SOSPENDERS which in turn made me think about inflatables. Guy's, instead of air mattresses we should get a bunch of those inflatable lifelike dolls to float around on the water with. Hey, that's where we can sell the sponsors ad space

I can see it now. Fully inflated SOSPENDERS on a blond blow up doll. We could call it the Dolly Parton model!

You can THANK Gary and myself for that...its just been one of those days here at work...I'd rather be doing anything but work...even if it means planning the 1st annual Nitro/Tracker Streaker Tournament & Cookout with Gary.
Cause if the gas gets below $1.00 we can then afford to drive, boat and grill with GAS!

I don't know how this conversation evolved either William, but my sides are killing me.....

Doug,

We probably should have some sort of guidelines such as:
1)Crimp barbs on all hooks(for safety)
2)Long sausages only(for cookout of course)
3)personal floatation required for all women(implants acceptable)(for safety of course)
4)Diver's flag(use your imagination)

We should invite everyone to contribute to the rules to really make this unique Tournament and Cookout the success it was inspired to be!

Guy's,

Do you know what the number 1 television show in Arkansas is?

Touched by an Uncle!

LOL!!!!

More rule suggestions:

Must practice "Catch & Release"
Slot length strictly enforced!

LOL
