    Replacement Snap In Carpeting.

Hello All. I'm looking to replace the original carpeting for my 2001 Nitro 288 F & S boat. Any ideas? The Tracker folks say it's been "discontinued." Thanks, Matthew

    Tracker Trailer Problem

Here is a photo of the clearance on one side of the boat and fender I gained by shimming the boards. Before, there was no daylight between.

    Tracker Trailer Problem

I did replace the leaf springs and related hardware. The trailer is an '01 and had the original springs. I think the new springs helped all the way around.

    Tracker Trailer Problem

Hi cceguy. Well, when the bunk boards were shimmed, it gave clearance on both sides of the trailer fenders. Before, it was an incredibly tight fit when loading the boat. The fenders came back in straight and the rear axle tires no longer contact the fenders.

    Tracker Trailer Problem

I should mention that I replaced all the leaf springs and related hardware. This may help with lift, as the trailer is an '01 and had the original leaf springs.

Hi Thomas. I actually have a 225 hp Mercury Mariner on my boat. I've tried "powerloading," without much success. Thanks for the reply!

    Tracker Trailer Problem

I've had the same problem with my 2001 Nitro 288 F&S boat. No matter how I put the trailer in the water, or the incline of the boat ramp, my boat always came in under the front roller. I ended up swimming up the front bunk boards and two bunk boards in back with 1" treated wood pieces. The bunk...

2001 Mercury Mariner 225 Hp Outboard

Hello, I purchased a 2001 Nitro 288 F&S, with 225 hp Mercury Mariner outboard engine 2 yrs. ago. Took it to Table Rock lake last weekend and she wouldn't idle without putting it in neutral and giving it some throttle. When I bought the boat, I took it to our local Mercury dealer and they had it...

    Water In Glove Box!

Nitro 288, Can you please tell me if you have the problem of having the bow of the boat go under the front roller when loading your boat on the trailer? I've read on blogs that I may be putting the trailer in the water too deep. Have you encountered this with your 288? I am leaving for the lake...

    Water In Glove Box!

Hello All, I am experiencing a problem on my '01 Nitro 288. When my front livewell has water in it and I am underway, I get water in my glove box! The livewell is in front of the glove box on the boats' passenger side. If anyone else has encountered this issue or knows of a fix, please let me...

Hello Fellow Boaters. It Is A Pleasure To Be Here!

Does anyone know of guide on bunk boards or something to help me get my Nitro 288 centered when loading on the trailer better? It has the optional 225 hp Mercury engine. Would this heavier engine make loading on the trailer more difficult, in that the rear end tends to float out side to side...

Hello Fellow Boaters. It Is A Pleasure To Be Here!

Thank you for your reply. More times than not, I have to physically lift the boy to get it on the roller! It will not winch itself over the roller! Kind of hard to explain, but it usually involves backing off and trying several times to be able to winch the bow onto the roller. . .

Hello Fellow Boaters. It Is A Pleasure To Be Here!

I purchased a 2001 Nitro 288 Fish n Ski boat and trailer last August. Love the boat, but I am having some trouble landing the boat on the trailer. It is a very low profile trailer and I am having problems keeping the bow ABOVE the roller when winching her up! Is anyone experiencing, or have...
