My 2015 250 Pro XS had the same issue twice , first it was the oil tank leaking after getting that fixed the oil pump started leaking , had to get it replaced as well.

Thanks for that info , I think I will try that too. I used soap and water to remove the mold then used a very worn scotchbrite pad and bleach water to kill it and remove the stains from the handles.

I actually gained more top speed, same principle as trimming your motor up. The higher you raise the motor the more it lifts your boat out of the water , less boat in the water equals less drag and more speed. Your are right about driving the chine walk out but it’s not an enjoyable experience...

I used bought pressure treated wood For mine then painted them with several coats of Boiled Linseed Oil... I know a guy that told me that he used pressure treated wood for his bunks and they lasted 8 years... coating them with Boiled Linseed Oil should make them last even longer.
