I have a 2006 Nitro 482 w 115hp Mercury. Is there any way to check the oil level in the reservoir without taking the cowling cover off?

Jumped off and replaced my TM battery tender today, with a Minn Kota 106D 6 amp battery charger today. Installed it and works great! $87.99 at Academy plus tax.

I have a 2006 Nitro with a 115HP Mercury Optimax and can get right at 54MPH out of it with just me and a 1/2 full tank of gas. I am happy with the speed. That speed is with the motor trimmed up to the half way mark on the gauge.

Great info...I do now keep the TM unplugged and that helps. I fish usually every other Friday on Lake Austin and run from one end of the lake to the other, and its a long lake. The TM battery is up front. I don't have anything except the cranking battery and the light and electonics hooked up...

I am thinking of replacing it with a battery charger instead...your opinions and comments welcome.... Looking at single bank charger Minn Kota 106D. Do I need a two bank and run one set of the cables to the cranking battery also. The battery tender up front with the trolling motor battery and...

I took my boat to the Tracker Marine dealer in Austin and they had lots of spare keys in a bucket on the bench, and matched mine up at no charge. Great bunch of guys.

We fished Lake Austin on Thursday with 37 degrees weather and water temp was 58, and we like to have froze. The next day was 55 degrees and was nice fishing weather (little chilly running down the lake) But that IS Texas weather!!!
