    V18 Battery Compartment

Ted, thats strange. I have a 2005, and after reading your post, I measured the lid opening on my battery compartments and they are 9 7/8 x 17 3/4. I cant imagine changing something that already works. Larry in western Ky.

    New (to me) 2008 V18

The TV 18 as stated is a home run boat. Smooth quiet dry ride in rough water. It has lots of storage, although not all of is dry, but it is what it is. The low sides and the way it sits at rest, makes it the most wind resistant aluminum I have ever owned, and that list is long. The only fault...

Opinion and info on Tournament V-18 help

Gig you should be running 45 plus with your 115. My identical boat w/a carburated 90 was running 42 loaded, single. Try a 20 Laser II prop.that has been slightly cupped. to turn 5800. It will work wonders on your boat. Larry in western Ky.

Need Prop suggestions for Tracker Tournament 18V

Took the jack plate off, didnt see a performance gain. Later I sold the 90 and went w/a 125 opti. Still in breakin so I'm not sure about what prop I will need. I was running a 20 Lazer on the 90, and thought it may be a little loose on the 125, so I bought a 22, and it appears to be a little...

Low pressure and alarm, 115 Opti!

The cup that the impeller runs in can be grooved in the bottom, and you may not notice it. If this is the case, it will lower your water pressure. Larry in western Ky

Opinion and info on Tournament V-18 help

I bought a 2005 TV18 in aug of 13. It was as factory prepaired w/a 90 Carb Mercury. The best top end was 42 with light load and no passenger. I have since updated to a 125 but am in the break in mode so I have no performance report. The boat has a great rough water ride, and it is very wind...

    tracker boat / trailer problem

Your unloading process will solve his problem only if he could use it 100% of the time. Moving the motor back where it should have been in the beginning, makes the problem go away, and he can use any unloading process he chooses. The bow of all boats drop to some degree when unloading. The angle...

    tracker boat / trailer problem

Move your trolling motor bracket back flush w/the hull and your problem will go away. The motor Guide bracket doesnot need to overhang like the OMC bracket does. I had this same issue on a boat, and doing as I suggested solved the problem. Larry in western Ky

Need Prop suggestions for Tracker Tournament 18V

I got a crisp as new 20Laser II. I was having some tach problems before I got this prop, now waiting on a new tach so I can test my new wheel. I ran it one time, got more lift and ran 41.5. Just dont know where I am in the RPM range. Next step is to mount a 6"high jacker plate. Wish I had a...

    Hydrofoil/tournament v18

I just recently purchased a Tournament 18V and have the same issue. The prop that came on the boat, a 21 aluminum will partly level the boat w/o a passenger once you begin to trim. To help eliminate this problem, ballast will have to be added under the passenger seat, when fishing alone. Today...

Need Prop suggestions for Tracker Tournament 18V

Boat has a 90 Mercury w/ a 3 blade alum 21 pitch. Boat comes out of hole good, but will only turn 5100. w/ minimal trim. Additional trimming only causes increase in RPMS, w/a lot of slip, no lift and no increase in speed. Open to suggestions from owners of this same boat who have already got...

new boat owner looking for help

Since this is your first boat, the second thing after you you learn about your boat,is to get a copy of a boating safety manual from your local water enforcement officer. Water safety should not be taken lightly or for granted. There are rules of road(water) that everyone should know, but...
