I have the same set up. I run the 90 hp for several years then went with a 115 optimax. With the 90 I run a 19 pitch blackmax prop it would turn 5400 rpm and performed well it run about 43 mph per gps. The prop did have a problem of blowing out on sharp turns. I run a 19 pitch 4 blade...

I ran my cranking battery down and needed to jump off my trolling motor batteries. The trolling motor is 24 volt. I was not sure how to jump off these batteries . My question is how do you jump a 12 volt battery off a 24 volt system without disconnecting a bunch of cables?

My prop is a black maxs 13X19 three blade. It does well and tops out about 5400 rpm. I do have a problem on turns with the prop breaking loose and over reving unless I trim down prior to turning. I am going to try a 4 blade Spitfire prop this weekend it should prevent the problem on the turns...

I have a 08 V18 with a 115 optimax also. My motor is mounted on the second hole from the top. What is your top speed and size of your prop. I have a 19 pitch and get about 44 mph. Thanks

If you do get the V18 with the 90 putting a jack plate on it is not worth the cost for a extra mile an hour. The boat will run fully loaded with gear 39/40 mph. The pro team 18 I had had a few leaking rivets also. Good fishing.
