Trailblazer - correct "drop" for hitch?

Does a LTZ have self-leveling air shock pumps by any chance. Might seem a silly question, but I traded my Trailblazer (LS stripper) for a Tahoe LT and it senses the extra weight and pumps up the shocks to off-set the extra weight. Go figure. Put 2 fat-asses on the tail-gate of the Tahoe and turn...

    some help

Replaced/installed many of these, although my knowledge is "old school". The base should be attatched to the boat floor (lowest area) there are two tabs, usually plastic, that you squeeze or pinch in which will release the motor/impeller housing from the base. Flip it over and you should see a...

    Buying a hand gun

As a retired cop, I can tell you laws vary in large ways from certain areas of some states. CA is where you will have the most trouble being legal. AZ is where you will have the least trouble. Maybe check NRA website and look for reciprosity laws and find out which states/counties/cities honor...

Tracker Pro Guide 17 moving batteries?

Didn't know about the kicker. That's one of the reasons I went with a trolling plate for the big motor. This is aluminum, yes? I mounted a tray on the deck for a front battery on one of my boats. Box, tie down strap etc and it never moved in any rough water. I guess it depends if you want or...

    Carpet adhesive

3M 77 spray adhesive. Good stuff for carpet sticking, wet or dry. Just another opinion. Home Depot has it.

Tracker Pro Guide 17 moving batteries?

Personal opinion....I would run all your accesories off the starting battery. It is charging back via alternator unless you are sitting dead in the water with motor off. With downriggers, locator etc, I assume you are moving and your starting battery is getting a charge. Same can't be said for a...

    kill switch?

Yeah, this "project" boat has become quite a project. Daylight now, so I'll get a better look at it. Yep, I've had the kill switch mystery disconnect. In my past and current boats, if the clip isn't on, no start. It appears to be pretty "optional" on this one.

    kill switch?

Yep, that's similar to every one I've owned. I spoke with him on the phone and he had no idea what I was talking about. He has run it without the clip since he's owned the boat. How difficult would it be to by-pass this thing? I'll have to take a close look in daylight, but I think maybe...

    touch up paint

Another good idea. If my wife goes goth, or it gets around St. Patty's day, I'll see if she has any green metalic nail polish (just kiddin). Neccesity and economics are the mothers of invention. I like your thinkin.

    touch up paint

yeah, I thought about the car plug idea for the transducer connector lead on the deck, but most of these holes are screw holes, 1/8 or 3/16 inch. previous owner loved his drill. this is a bit of a project boat body-wise. good motor, but I'm not going to be entering it in any parades.

    Another Optimax problem

In WI, we have some very small species of wasp that for some reason, go up motor pee holes, lay eggs and close the end of the hole with mud. The stuff is as hard as concrete! Both my Mercs and a 60 hp Yamaha have had this problem 3 or 4 times a year in my driveway. Sorta freaks you to not see...

    I'll check that out. Thanks

    touch up paint

yes, I'm aware that it is gelcoat and not paint. Thought perhaps there was a touch up dobber or similar on the market. You know, like you might get with a new car, even plastic cars. Time to hit the hobby shop, find some Testor PLA, hope for a close match and some clear sealer. These patches are...
