+1 on having your boat ready to launch. I can't stand people who stop on the ramp to get their boat ready. Wake boarders are notorious for this. And they walk their boats on trailer with a rope?????. Takes forever!!

I have a 882 pull out oil tank don't have to disconnect hoses just set it aside. There is an access panel with 4 screws. Bilge and livewell pumps under it.

You want him to run his 12 volt motor on 24 volts?

I wouldn't waist your time and money I never even look at mine. Once you get used your boat you won't need it. You will be able to tell by feel.

My buddy has an xr6 on his champion is very cold blooded hard to get started when cold. Once warm starts fine. Sucks twice fuel as my optimax too.

What I did I my old boat was tape a box end wrench to a rod and tape one side of the box end to catch nut. Gotta get a little creative and patient. Don't cut up your boat to install a trolling motor.

I use a wet rag. As long as you have good wax on it. Stuff wipes right off

I agree with mini. I went and spent 50$ on wire,fuses and connectors. Opened up bow panel and it was already pre wired.

My opinion put that money aside till you have enough for quality rod and reel. I went to bps to buy a curado they were sold out what a suprise. They suckered me into one of those johnny morris reels. Its junk!

My boat had extra set of power wires up to bow coming from fuse block. Everyone on here told me to go straight to battery. I called lowrance and they said running to fuse block is fine. It has been working great so far no problems. Just make sure you have correct size fuse.

If you can afford it I would go with a ranger z520. I buy my oil at a local ranger dealership. I drool over them every time. I know my next boat will be a ranger. They are nice!!

Yes Steven it is in line between charger and battery. Don't think its a short cause it would blow right away as soon as plug it in. I wonder if I'm running to small of fuse it is a 20 amp. Yea toxic they are wired right. Never had any problem till fuse blew a couple monthes ago. Then did it...
