I have a buddy with that boat and he is running a 24p Fury. He and another guy with this boat have both run 25p Tempest Plus props before. Not sure on the jackplate height, but you might start out at around 3-1/4" below pad and see how it does. Good luck

Brandon, Wayne is way ahead of me and has helped me numerous times. I am currently running a 998 on the console and a 997 on the front. I want an 1198, but it will have to wait and see. Tons of great info on the web on the Humminbird SI units, look for them on Youtube.

I have had mine on every trip, over the winter and on cooler days I run it on intermittent passive. Still have shad and minnows all around the boat, they love me.

Jimmy I am fishing my c-rig on 40lb Power Pro, I put my weight and bead on, add a 30lb swivel and tie on some mono leader, no lost tungsten that way. I cannot remember the brand of swivel, but they make them in several strengths. So far so good.

I can tell you this, the fiberglass boat will ride better. Think about what lakes you will be fishing and if there are horsepower limitations. If they are small lakes, then it is a wash. Big open lakes, I will keep my glass boat! Aluminums are great boats, but look at the weight of the two...

ace, not sure you have any choices. I did a quick scan of Humminbird's website and did not see any options. I have one mounted on my trolling motor, it is a beast. I used a mount from Transducer Shield and Saver. WayneP may be able to help.

Eric look at the Pyle Marine Amps on ebay, I think I bought the 200w one. They have a couple of them on there that look like they have the MP3 adapter with them. I think the speakers were Pyle also.

Eric, I have dual consoles in my Z7 and installed a pair of cheap indoor/outdoor speakers under there using the existing bolts. I power them with a cheap amp, and use and ipod/iphone adapter all from ebay for $100. Sounds good and if something happens I am not out a huge sum of money.
