Hello from Maine. I'm Lamar in Bridgton Me. I am retired and an avid fisherman. I've been a NTOWS member for several years and glad to be here on this site. From looking at it, we are all going to enjoy it. Thanks to Rich for all the hard work he has done all these years.

Pull the wire supplying power to the switch. If the light goes out, that would indicate the switch is defective. Good luck.

I would suspect your panel meter is reading voltage, not amperage. I would check the voltage at the battery with a volt-ohm meter and see if the panel meter is reading right. The charging system in your motor only supplies voltage to charge the battery and does not know what kind of...

I had mouse problems the first two years after I bought my boat. Then, someone told me to scatter moth balls all in the boat. Since then, mouse free. I put them in when I put the boat up for the winter.

The fuel gage pegging on 'E' may indicate battery is hooked up backwards. Check your battery connections as Bob G. suggested above. The starter motor would run backwards also, but would not engage the flywheel. Good luck.

Did you check fuses at the fuse block, or an in-line fuse? With two things not working, you might be checking the right fuses. Good luck.

If the hole is accessible from the inside, you can get sealing washers at auto parts stores. Then, run a stainless steel bolt through it.....job complete.

Don't be surprised if a different winch won't work. Different shape or length of the cranking handle sometimes won't clear the bow. I have had this problem twice in the last ten years. Good luck.

You plugged the livewell outlet........did you plug the inlet? If you are lucky, it will be livewell plumbing leaking.

I assume you are saying 18 volts on your dash meter. If so, have you checked the battery voltage with a volt-ohm meter at WOT? It's always possible your dash meter is wrong.

Have you tired putting plugs in the live well inlet and outlet? I had a small leak in the live well plumbing and the plugs verified it. Good luck.

I agree with Tee. I carry a pair of jumper cables all the time in case my starting battery lets me down. If you do add a second battery in parallel, you won't need a 2 bank charger as you will in effect be charging only one battery. Good luck.

I can't speak for the PT 175, but I have a PT185 that is in it's 11th season and so far, ZERO issues. Sure, some people have issues from time to time, some more serious than others, but for the money, you can't beat a Tracker. Good luck
