    New Guy Here..

Well, I had one of these. Haven't been on the board lately. What is it that you want to know about this boat? Did it come with the 90hp Merc that used to be common on this rig? Let me know what you are interested in, and I'll see what I can answer. I had mine for almost 2 years, used down south...

Been 'away' too long, so doing an update

Updated my picture and put up my 'new' ride. 1993 Skeeter 200DX with a 1999 Merc 225 Pro XS on the back. Boat is in great shape, and I have some new electronics coming this week. Need to do a few more minor things to it, but overall, it's very clean, starts and runs well and runs like a scared...

Returning Tracker Owner - Old NTOWS Ghost

I'm trying to be more 'active' and the biggest problem is tracking NTOWS 'handles' to the folks here. Recognized MoFish immediately.

Been 'away' too long, so doing an update

Well, since the merge of Nitro Owners and Transomtalk, I haven't been back much. Nothing wrong, just haven't been here much. Since my last post, we bought a home on Lake Cypress Springs (in Mt. Vernon, TX); bought a truck and finally about a week ago bought another boat. It's a 1993 Skeeter...

Certainly. Glad to see that you and Rich have gotten together. Site looks great.

    Rally in Guntersville Sept 20-21???

Well, since this is immediately before my 65th birthday . . . may have to see about it.

Glad to see some familiar faces here. Tex

Glad to be here with all of my NTOWS friends, and . . .

All of the new friends I'm sure to find here. Thanks again, to Rich Stern for the wonderful job he has done to keep NTOWS up and running for some many years. My login at NTOWS was Texas Transplant, and I'll figure out the mechanics here soon enough and get some things going. Love to fish, but...

    Engine won't crank

I had something similar to this some years ago with my Stratos/Evinrude. It was the connection to the battery with the clamps. 1) They have to be exceptionally clean. 2) They have to be exceptionally 'tight'. The tech/mechanic that helped me, told me that I almost couldn't get them tight...

    Eli and I in G'ville Mar 29-31

Just remember, the fish here don't eat fried rice and eggrolls! Tex

Sitting here in Boston on the harbor this morning

Will do. I work for Fidelity now, so I'm up there 4-5 times a year. Tex

    Hybird Striped

Hybrid's line's are typically 'broken'. Look at the images available on Google/Images for hybrid stripers. What you are holding looks a lot like a regular striper. The 'hybrids' look more like a football. Tex

What do you guys think of the Optima batteries?

Loved the Trojans I ran. They were great. Tex

    Been hiding!

Well, the thought/desire for another boat is certainly there - just not the overall readiness as yet. Will likely be another year or so. Trying to work down the bills and outstanding obligations before my next foray. Basically, while I am still working (meaning not retired) - I am trying to...

    Bassmaster Weekend Series

Brings back memories of some years ago. I fished Clark's Hill in a 'T' when the water was down 15-20 feet. That can be a real dangerous place when it's low like that. Tex

    Your Opinion

In general, I'm in favor of the 'keep it under wraps' categorization of certain Military secrets and plans. However, I also believe that having a 'closed conversation' leads far too many to interpret that to mean - do what we can get away with. Having not 'served' myself, hard for me to be...

Posted my Nitro on swap and sell.

Sorry to hear that and certainly looks like a great boat. I'd love to be able to get back into a boat/active fishing; but not a good time right now for me either. I'll spread the word with some friends and associates at work to see if anyone has some interest. Tex

    Investment Question

Interesting discussion. I'd comment, but given that I now work for a Financial Firm once again - I can't really make any comment. Best thing I could say is know the differences in the basic products; understand the various risk factors (big ones); and pick an investment that seems to meet your...

Trep, where is the ELI update?

Trep is in the Land Down Under through next week (I believe) and I think that Eli is off at a Band (as in Rock Band) camp. Trep is due back in the US at the end of next week for some family time. This concludes my official report on the 'Trep Watch'. Tex
